ГОЛОБІОHТ
HOLOBIONT
In their first joint collaboration, the two art collectives RHO and studio beisel invite you to a spatial installation in Kassel's Südstadt under the title ГОЛОБІОHТ (HOLOBIONT).
RHO's latest cycle of works on humor theory has made it his mission to examine temperaments in terms of their spatial properties and atmospheres. After CHOLERA, PHLEGMA & MELANCOLIA were presented at Kasseler Kunstverein, Feinmechanik Kassel and adhocraum in Bochum, the two works : ГОЛОБІОHТ & SANGUIN are now created in cooperation with studio beisel . In it, studio beisel videographically and olfactorically explores the thematic complex of the will to survive as a counter-design to the longing for death, his leitmotif of the past exhibition "St. Beisel" at Kunsthalle Gießen.
During the 100-day run of documenta15, visitors* can experience all parts of the titular total organism ГОЛОБІОHТ spatialized in the underground of Haus Berneburg every weekend (Fri-Sun. 12-20h).
The place of the mundane cohabitation of the house's inhabitants thereby advances to an immersive stage on which personal experiences can be associated and projected.
The profound architectural interventions and changes to the Gründerzeit house take on a new meaning in the face of current questions and tragic challenges. It remains open to what extent the audience influences the permanent process of change of the ГОЛОБІОHТ.
